Habitats: Desert, Volcano, Pride Rocks, Forgotten Shores
Territorial: No
Diet: Plants, Scavenged Meat
Nesting Season: Any
Nesting Grounds: Open spaces
Pack creature (8 max)
Important Notes:
-SELF DESTRUCT: Only used by male Khiku when they decide to fight each other
-Flee from everything
-Large packs with one male
-No care for offspring
-Often confuse Therokis with own species
Description: Khiku are imbeciles, how they aren’t extinct is a mystery. Being extremely flighty, they’ll run from anything they do not think is a Khiku. Packs are large only having one male at a time despite having no form of hierarchy.
Behavior: Khiku are very very dumb, and only trust what they believe to be other Khiku. Ill-contented to stay in one area, packs are almost always on the move, only stopping for brief moments when needed. All Khiku seem to have an extreme fear of being entrapped, practically breaking down even if they’re simply underneath a tree. They’re so averse to staying in areas of shelter that even during catastrophic events, such as volcanic eruptions, they’d much rather become scattered attempting to dodge falling debris than dare hide in shelter. Only during weather that they can not flee from, such as acid rain, may packs sometimes reluctantly go under areas of cover. Packs are formed simply by whichever Khiku congregate around each other, however only one male travels with a group at a time. Male Khiku are extremely aggressive to each other and will fight almost immediately upon seeing one another, even if there is no need to. These random fights can become so intense at times that one of the males may even spontaneously explode! Although omnivorous Khiku never hunt, scavenging is the only way they’ll feast upon flesh. If packs notice a creature they do not perceive as one of their own they’ll flee the area almost instantly.
Nesting: Nests are made wherever, whenever, simply plopped down in an open area lacking any kind of protection. Khiku do not stay by their nest, simply going about their normal activities checking on them whenever they happen to pass by the area again. Matured Khiku are unable to see young as one of their kind and as such children are immediately abandoned upon birth. The strange small creatures that suddenly appear from their eggs are so frightening to adults that they flee the area upon seeing them.
Khiku & Therokis: Lacking in eyesight occasionally Khiku will confuse adult Therokis for one of their kind, happily running up to greet them much to the Therokis' confusion. Khiku will poke and prod at the strange new ‘Khiku’ friend until it usually is brought to its breaking point. The behavior displayed by the distraught Therokis is what makes the Khiku realize that their new Khiku friend is not actually a Khiku, this frightens them so badly they flee the area.

Description: Pernirex are medium, carnivorous theropods. They have no arms, but make up for that with their powerful legs and impressive jaws lined with rows of insanely sharp, serrated teeth. Alongside their jaws, Pernirex’s tails are spiny and sharp, doubling as very effective weapons. Finally, their feet come equipped with a large, hooked claw, which the Pernirex uses after pouncing on prey to puncture and eviscerate it.
Behavior: Pernirex are ambush hunters, using their exceptional speed and power to catch prey unaware and tear them apart before they can react. Among one of the stronger tier 2 creatures of Sonaria, it can hold its own against many creatures its size in head-on fights, outmaneuvering and lacerating anything they please. When it comes to larger creatures, Pernirex are no cowards. Surprisingly intelligent, Pernirex will employ a hit and run strategy against larger foes, targeting weak spots and opening deep wounds to weaken and bleed out their opponent. Pernirex hunt in packs of up to six individuals, stalking large prey and using their hit and run tactics to take down beasts significantly larger than themselves. When mating season comes along, Pernirex will gather at the Volcano for dances and displays to impress a mate.
Close-knit Relationships: Pernirex are extremely social creatures within their species, forming extremely close, powerful bonds with their family and friends. Pernirex will protect their family and young with their lives, willingly charging up against some of Sonaria’s most terrifying predators to allow their loved ones to escape.
Rivalry: Pernirex are eternal rivals with Diokrine, in a constant, brutal battle with the species. No one really knows when this rivalry began, or for what reason it emerged. Some have theorized it goes back millions of years, and that the Diokrine and Pernirex are actually related, coming from the same ancient species. After their split up, the Pernirex and Diokrine have competed for dominance over Sonaria, a never ending conflict that costs millions of lives on both sides. Pernirex will not actively hunt for Diokrine, however in the event they spot one, they will be sure to chase it away, and possibly kill it if given the chance, especially if the Diokrine is young.

Description: Most active during the day, Therokis are a rather curious, troublesome ancient terrestrial species. Hooked wings make for razor-sharp weapons that, by default, keep Therokis from allying closely with other organisms. Even members of the same species are careful to keep a respectable distance from each other. Their curiosity shines most brightly when entertaining themselves, being that Therokis will often travel to high cliffs and see who can jump the farthest. As a sense of “competition,” young Therokis compete in this manner for the furthest distance, the winner being allowed to eat the berries used in the game.
Behavior: Despite their nature as a prey species, adults may trail behind solo predators or herds of bigger herbivores. While their intent remains unknown, leaving a few cherries at the dens of other species is a common habit. If the target shows aggression, Therokis are quick to flee, although with questionable efforts. Running directly into walls, water sources, and off of cliffs is rather common. The most foolish of this species are culled by their own inability to decide on a proper escape route. Ignorant of this failure, Therokis are devoted to their curious nature and will relocate their previous target, staying just barely out of sight.
Solo to Family: Upon approach, a male and female court via exchanging the most extravagant food they can find for each other. Cherries, as expected, are an instant ‘yes’ and the female will place her nest within a secure location. Stolen eggs are seen as disgraceful and will halt the courting ritual dead in its tracks. After nesting begins, a family pack forms until the children, preferably two nested at a time, grow to the juvenile stage. In parenthood, Therokis defend their offspring only until half health, where they then choose to flee for the sake of self-preservation.
