As a scholar, I specialized in Analytical Chemistry and served as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry. Through my focused skills and devotion to developing scientific knowledge, I have made major contributions to the subject, enriching the academic scene with valuable research and intellectual endeavours.
I am Prof. D. R. Godhani, a passionate and dedicated Physical Chemistry professor working in the Chemistry Department. With a strong background in chemistry and a commitment to academic excellence, I strive to inspire and empower students through innovative teaching methods and research endeavors.
Prof. Tejas Pradyuman Joshi, Ph.D., M.Sc. (Physical Chemistry), joined the Department of Chemistry at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University in 2008. He was promoted to Associate Professor on 18th November 2020 and later elevated to the position of Professor on 18th November 2023. In addition to his academic role, he currently serves as the Controller of Examinations (OSD) at the university. His specialised fields are polymer/surfactant, electrochemistry, and thermodynamics. From September 2022 to September 2023, he was appointed as a Joint Secretary (on Deputation) at the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Eligibility Test (SET), National Academic Depository (NAD), Academic Bank of Credit (ABC), Anti-Ragging Cell (ARC), College Development Bureau (CDB-II: Bhopal, Pune, and Kolkata- 12 states), ESamadhaan (ES), RTI (Right To Information Act), RIA Bureau, Common University Entrance Test (CUET), and Fee Nivaran cell were among the UGC-Bureaus he was considering. Prior to that, Prof. Joshi served as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, where he held a position from 2006 to 2008. Prof. Joshi served as a project fellow at UGC-DAE (BARC), Mumbai. He has effectively finished two UGC minor research projects. He completed his Ph.D. from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, under the supervision of Prof. P. Bahadur. He has published over 26 research publications in prestigious national and international journals and has presented his work in countries such as Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, and Russia. He gave more than 24 Invited Talks /keynote speakers in workshops and seminars. He has authored five books. He guided 1 PhD student. He holds a lifetime membership in the Indian Society for Surface Science and Technology (I.S.S.S.T), a member of the Asian Society for Colloid and Surface Science (ASCASS) in Asian countries, a member of the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (I.S.A.S), India, and was a member of the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS), U.S.A. from 2004 to 2008.
