This is some short information about my old layout. It was situated in the basement of our former house.
This model railroad follows the prototype very closly. All track layouts represent how it looked during the 50s and 60s. I have of coarse used selective compression. Most of the important structures with railroad interest is scratch build or kitbasched to give a realistic representation of the prototype.
Lower level of the layout
Alamosa is the main yard of the layout.
Left part of the staging yard represents La Veta, Pueblo and the rest of the world. The right part of the staging yard represent Antonito, Chama and the narrow gauge area beyond.
Red tracks are dual gauge.
Upper level
This level represents the branch to South Fork with the most important stations and industries on the branch.
Rio Grande interchanged with San Luis Central in Sugar Junction. San Luis Central tracks are green.
