Common Myths:

• Scaling is not bleaching. Scaling in no way alters the shade of the natural teeth and cannot make the teeth whiter. Teeth whitening is a different procedure altogether.

• Scaling neither causes or increases tooth mobility nor weakens the tooth enamel. In fact, it is just the opposite, teeth with extensive tartar deposits can become mobile
