She had a talent for sewing, design, and fashion. She raised five kids during the depression, which was not easy. She made all their clothing on an old Singer sewing machine, prepared all their meals, kept the house clean and the laundry done. She is remembered as shy, wise, and witty; her children and their children are still passing down funny stories she shared from her youth.
