The School Building Level Committee (SBLC) is a team within a school that operates as part of the general education system, designed to address and support the academic and behavioral needs of students who are struggling. The SBLC process is a proactive, intervention strategy aimed at identifying students who may need additional support to succeed in the general education environment (or if it is determined the special education environment). The committee typically consists of educators, administrators, and other school staff who collaborate to assess student needs, plan and implement interventions, monitor progress, and make decisions regarding further evaluation or support strategies.
