President, PALDT (2021-2022)
The president of the Purdue Association of Learning Design and Technology (PALDT) acts as the representative voice of the Leaning Design and Technology student body to the program, department, college, university and any other organization. They attend meetings or designate a representative to attend. They establish partnerships with other on-campus service centers, such as CIE, and TLT, Purdue Online, and peer organizations across universities and coordinate all efforts of PALDT.
During my tenure as a PALDT president,
My team and I launched a youtube channel for our organization.
We organized several speaker sessions by alumni of our program to provide inputs and advice on relevant topics in our field.
We organized a panel session to discuss tips and tricks for creating a good portfolio
We invited Dr. Charles Reigeluth for an in-person talk and interaction with the LDT students.
We created and launched a student concern redressal system to streamline the process for all LDT students to report their concerns and issues.
We restructured the PALDT board by creating a new position of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer who would take on the responsibility of ensuring that all students and perspectives are fairly represented in the mission and activities of PALDT.

United Way, Greater Lafayette
As part of the Learning System Design (572) class, in a team of 4 students, I designed a learning module on the topic of skill-based volunteering for United Way of Greater Lafayette to prepare volunteer coordinators to better utilize the skills of incoming volunteers.
Excel Center, Lafayette
Purdue Association of Learning Design and Technology (PALDT) received a service learning grant from the office of engagement. In partnership with Excel Center of Lafayette, the service project team implemented a project for ‘teaching computer and internet skills to mixed ability adult learners.’ As a part of a 2-member team for the topic of ‘Computer Applications’, I developed workshop training material, job aids, and facilitation guides and successfully delivered them to the Excel Center.
