Biography
Researcher
My name is Deepti Tagare. I am an electronics engineer turned educational researcher, a unique career trajectory that has led me to my primary area of research - computing education. My research spans both K-12 and higher education settings to bring about effective change in the content, teaching methods, and outcome of computing education.
I have also done research in virtual reality-based education and online education settings. I have several conference presentations and publications as products of my research work.
Instructional Designer
In my five-year instructional design experience as part of the editorial teams of top global publishing houses including McGraw Hill Education, Oxford University Press, and Cambridge University Press. I continue to use my instructional design skills as I provide instructional design consultation and design faculty workshops as a part of my role as a research assistant in the NSF funded grant project - DEAPening Employer Academic Partnerships (DEAP).
