Deepak Kumar

Welcome to my world of teaching and research! 

I'm currently a Ph.D. student in the Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Hyderabad. I am working under the supervision of Prof. K.B.V.N. Phanindra, Prof. Satish K. Regonda, and Prof. B. Umashankar. I work as a graduate research/teaching assistant. 

I am a passionate researcher. I set short and long-term goals and when I achieve them, I feel fulfilled. Discovering tools and processes, effective communication of results, acquiring useful knowledge, and finding solutions to problems are my core values.​

I'm working to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for water resources management with the ultimate goal of advancing the field and making a meaningful impact on global water management practices by integrating knowledge and techniques from various disciplines within engineering, science & technology and hence, I believe in huge collaborative teams with multi-disciplinary background to solve well-posed research problems.

My research involves consistent investigation and proffering solutions to the scientific questions posed. 

My current research focuses on a DST project that is geared toward the Identification, restoration and conservation of underground water channels for effective management and conservation of water resources.
