Description
An extremely useful wearable application was developed to address the issues of accessibility across all devices. It provided an omnichannel experience with notifications, their mobile account, plans, and bills. On the recommendation of the design team, one of the first telecom companies to develop a specific smartwatch app.
Summary
There is an elaborate mobile application already in place, which we wanted to target at the customers who use wearables on a daily basis; we wanted to make their lives simpler and more fun. Only the critical tasks were targeted and redesigned for the smartwatches, which proved to be rewarding for our customers.
We utilized the affordance decomposition technique to assess the smartwatch development along with the ecosystem from the user perspective.
Functions: What can be done or offered to the user?
Meaning: What could this mean for the user psychologically?
Limitation: Restrictions based on technology or business requirements?
Challenges: Obvious problems foreseen from the technology or offering?

Visual design for IOS/Android
Further investigating made us discover design opportunities for innovation. It has been classified as Choke Points and Pressure Points.
Choke points are basically the things that are difficult to perform in the smart watch from design perspective. Like the form factor of the watch, how muliple plans can be shown, who functionalities to be presented in the watch.
Pressure points are the psychological need of the user. How the device has been perceived and used by the Customer. For example, we have chosen colors and icons that are easily perceived by the customer with their existing apps.
Key Value Adds
Consistent experience by channeling smartphone application features to the smartwatch
On the go solution which provides real time information to the user without the hassle of fidgeting with the smartphone
Minimal design intervention for IOS/Android users to achieve maximum productivity
"The critics who complain that the watch is an expensive luxury, understate the value of convenience."
