Small Fires

Each day, we will meet in small groups where the Small Fire facilitator(s) will lead participants through an activity addressing the theme of the day. Participants will choose the Small Fire of their interest based on details provided in the gathering program, which they will receive on the first day of our event. Each SSHRC-funded participant will serve as a facilitator on one day of the program.

Sharing Circles

Time has been set aside each day for us to come together across three different Sharing Circles. Depending on who is leading the Sharing Circle, it could take the format of an arts-based activity, mindfulness practice, nature walk, or talking circle. Participants will choose which circle they would like to participate in on each day.

Nutrition Breaks

Nourishing our bodies is an important activity too! Each day, in addition to lunch, there are scheduled nutrition breaks where we will be provided with coffee, tea, water, and healthy snacks. Dietary requirements submitted via the Google Form will inform meal planning. Suitable options will be available to everyone.

Collaborative Writing

Our last session of each day will be led by Leyton and Sara who will lead us through a collaborative writing and reflection activity. More details to come!

Gratitude

We will end each day with a slideshow of pictures taken throughout the day and you may choose to write a message of our "Gratitude Wall" that will be available to you throughout the event.
