Accommodation has been arranged by the university at The COURTYARD by Marriot for invited participants. Participants must contact the hotel and confirm their reservation before June 25, 2022.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown St. John's only 15 km away from the airport with easy access to all popular attractions such as George Street, Signal Hill, and Memorial University.

Airport Shuttle:
This hotel does not provide shuttle service. All participants are responsible for their own travel to/from the airport (see below for further details).

Three nights' accommodation (i.e., August 15-17) is covered by the SSHRC Connection grant sponsoring this event at the standard rate of $179/night (+ applicable taxes). Participants are invited to extend their stay and receive the conference rate for up to 3 days prior and 3 days after the event. Any costs incurred as a result of a room upgrade and/or length of stay will be borne by the participant.

Hotel Transfer Information
COURTYARD by Marriot does not provide shuttle service. The quick and easy method of transfer to and from the airport is via taxi cab. City Wide Taxi is the exclusive provider of ground transportation services for the public and there is an on-site dispatcher available to assist you in the taxi queue situated just outside the Arrivals area. Taxi rates are set for hotels and B&Bs, and the taxi rate to the Marriott Courtyard will be $25. Travel to the airport is based on standard meter rates.
