Deciphering Coded Messages

Different Code Types

Given that there are multiple code types and I have a lot to say for a few of them, there are 5 subpages to this page, which I also recommend reading in the order that they appear.

On this image above I color coded the different types of messages that appear on the map into 5 categories:

  1. The Celestian Message (boxed in teal) is one singular message speaking in English but using the Celestian alphabet.

  2. The Nidavellir Message (boxed in green) is one message that is partially repeated next to Grizzleheim on the left hand list of worlds. It is also translates to English and uses an alphabet found in Nidavellir in Wizard101, hence the reason I call it the "Nidavellir Message."

  3. Notes Written in Script (boxed in orange) occur in 28 separate instances around the map and seem to be written in English script.

  4. The Crossbones Code (boxed in pink) is another singular message that is partially repeated next to Skull Island's position in the spiral; the first, full message can be found next to Skull Island on the left hand list. The messages seem to be written using symbols of bones, which is why I dubbed this code "crossbones."

  5. The Ancient Mooshu Messages (boxed in yellow) seem to be 2 different messages found next to Mooshu both in the map itself and on the left hand list. The messages are presumably written in Ancient Mooshu as noted in the game by the character Cao Tzu.
