My Bio
Deborah Henry Mchau is a Tanzanian professional with a diverse background in prosthetics and orthotics, tech-for-health innovation,and digital design. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from KCMUCo and is currently pursuing Front-End Development through ALX Africa. Deborah has worked with organizations such as MPOW, ZeGiant Clinic, SwissLimbs, SwissAbility, APOT and EAHP Tanzania, contributing to clinical service, tech-driven outreach, and program implementation.
Beyond her technical and healthcare work, Deborah is a passionate disability inclusion advocate, using her platform to promote accessibility and equitable health services. She has volunteered extensively on initiatives, including APOT charity project 2024, Pajama Consortium 2025, and 3D printing prosthetic hands project, which were all aimed at helping under-served disability communities access better healthcare. Her advocacy work often intersects with her creative pursuits - from organizing device donation campaigns to co-creating awareness tools and proposals for inclusive care.
Deborah is also a graphic designer, book reviewer, report writer, and co-founder of Intentional Adulting, a planner business focused on holistic living. Her dream is to bridge the worlds of healthcare and technology to build sustainable, inclusive solutions for under-served communities.
