As for any organization, its effectiveness, it's directly affected by its size, so it's true for your local Union.
A small Union has less bargain leverage than a larger one, and especially when the issues are crucial, a larger and stronger union, has greater effectiveness and financial strength, to sustain deliberate and powerful actions, which may require to hire a team of experts and lawyers.
Remember that your local elected Union officers and stewards, are highly trained and knowledgeable, due to a considerable amount of personal time, spent to constantly training and educating themselves about all the rules and regulations, that apply to each AAFES employees.
Your Union officers and stewards don't receive any financial compensations for their hard work, which is done exclusively on a voluntarily base, to fulfill a personal sense of honor and commitment toward all AAFES employees here in the Dan Daniel Distribution Centre. So, the small fee of $ 14.00 per pay period that you pay to join us, is used exclusively to cover the basic cost of the Union operations and to support the legal actions.
If you are interested in joining this local Union, please send us an email at nagelocalr4117@yahoo.com with your full name, phone number and a brief message about your desire to join us, and an officer or a steward, will be in contact with you within 72 hours, to help and guide you in the process.
