Payment Options

All payments to the Durham College Retirees' Association can be made through the following options:

1. E-transfer (preferred); Using your online banking software, make all e-transfers to dcratreasurer97@gmail.com. We use auto-deposit, so no security question is required.

2. Cash or cheques. Make cheques payable to DCRA, and mail them to 821 Lochness Cres. Oshawa ON L1J 7P7.

DURHAM COLLEGE RETIREES’ ASSOCIATION (DCRA)

Greetings,

The DCRA is touching base to keep our retirees up-to-date on some recent changes/decisions made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in June 2022.

Due to increased costs for food and venues, the Association discussed increasing the membership fees for 2023. Fees had not been increased in over 10 years. The proposed fee increase was passed at the DCRA Annual General Meeting on June 15, 2022. 

New fees are as follows:

Yearly Membership - (January to December) - $35/year

Lifetime Membership (one-time fee) - $350

There are many advantages to joining the Retirees’ Association such as:

• Christmas Luncheon (December) – Hot Turkey meal with all the trimmings;  

• Breakfast Club – Free coffee - East Grille, Oshawa, 3rd Thursday of each month;

• DCRA Annual General Meeting and Luncheon (spring);

• Special Events - Annual retirees' golf day, guest speakers, tours, etc.;

• Information – DCRA Finances/Budget, Executive Meetings/Minutes/Budget, etc.;

• Links - To pertinent information such as pension information, retiree benefits, Ontario Colleges Retirees’ Assoc. (ORCA), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Sunlife, Goodwill Committee, Volunteer Opportunities, etc.; 

• Bursary or scholarship awarded to a student;

• Social opportunities - Keep in touch with former colleagues, DC Alumni Assoc.
