The Science Month 2025 celebration took creativity to new heights as students battled it out in the thrilling 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝗜𝘁 challenge!

Armed with only limited materials and racing against the ticking clock, participants showcased their 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕, 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔, and 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒑 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔. The stage was alive with energy, the ideas were bold, and the builds were nothing short of inspiring.

From the adrenaline of the 2-minute brainstorming to the pressure of the final pitch, every team proved that 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚎 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚒𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎, 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚!

Wind Turbine

Players use simple materials such as paper, a plastic straw, thumbtacks, and a cork to construct a paper wind turbine. Through this activity, they apply basic principles of aerodynamics and physics to design blades that can catch wind efficiently and rotate smoothly. This lets simulate how real wind turbines function.

Bridge
Players are given tape, string, and popsicle sticks to design and construct a bridge capable of supporting weight. This activity applies important science and engineering concepts such as force, load distribution, tension, and compression. With the different structures and designs, they can understand which maintains stability and carry weight best.

Parachute System
Using only plastic bags, string, tape, and washers, players design a parachute system with the goal of slowing its descent as much as possible. This challenge encourages the application of physics concepts such as drag, surface area, and air resistance. Players learn how changes in shape and size affect how an object falls through the air.
