How PTA Fundraising Supports Our School Community
Because of our community’s generosity, PTA fundraising supports the following initiatives that directly benefit students, teachers, and families:
🎒 1. Classroom & Educational Materials: Supplemental classroom supplies (art/science kits, books, tech tools), teacher discretionary funds.
🚌 2. Field Trips & Experiential Learning: Transportation, entry fees,and scholarships
🎉 3. School-Wide Events & Family Engagement: Community events, cultural festivals, and school-wide playdates.
🍎 4. Teacher & Staff Appreciation and Support: Celebrations, hospitality (snacks, appreciation weeks), staff mini‑grants, lounge improvements. Supplementing staff positions based on annual budgets.
Key Fundraising Events
Read-a-thon: Read-A-Thon is a fun filled week of reading & raising money for school wide events, PTA sponsored programs, equipment/supplies, additional staffing, etc.
Fun Run: The DCIS Fun Run is an annual fundraiser vitally important for our school to maintain our programming for specials and support our teachers. Especially this year in a time of such cuts to school budgets!
Ongoing Support
Box Tops
You can download and register via the Box Tops mobile app, scan your grocery receipts within 14 days of purchase, and earn $0.10 for each qualifying product purchased; earnings are automatically credited to DCIS through the app. Additionally, you can link your Box Tops account with your Walmart account — with qualifying purchases made using that linked account, revenue is generated automatically, no scanning required.

American Furniture Warehouse
Purchases at American Furniture Warehouse ANYTIME OF THE YEAR support DCIS at Fairmont.
2% of all purchases and 4% of Beautyrest or Serta mattress purchases will be donated back to the school. Mention DCIS at Fairmont or the school ID: DCISAF at check-out. More details are included in the flyer: DCIS at Fairmont
King Soopers Community Rewards
Create or sign into an account at King Soopers. At the bottom of My Account select View Community Rewards and search for DCIS at Fairmont PTA and Enroll.
Any future transactions are applied and a percentage of spending for the program will then be donated to DCIS at Fairmont PTA at no cost to you.

View our PTA Calendar to stay up to date with ongoing fundraisers held at local restaurants who donate a portion of their earnings on dedicated nights back to DCIS.
GiveBacks
The Givebacks Shop to Give program makes it easy for people to give back to causes they care about with no cost to you. The merchants fund the donations every time you shop or dine at their store.

In person: ensure credit card is linked, choose claim offer on app before shopping, use your linked card to pay
