New Family Information

Important information: 

Please add the PTA school event calendar to keep up to date with all future events. 

School Hours:  8:05 AM to 3:05 PM, Our main office is open from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM. 

Discovery Link (DL) after-school care is offered for all students (ECE-5th grade). To register for the 2025-2026 Discovery Link after-school program, visit the DL website. 

DCIS Shirts: Students wear DCIS shirts Monday-Thursday, Friday is Free Dress day

Morning Drop Off:  Beginning at 7:45 here are three options -- the kiss and go, playground time or breakfast in the cafeteria. The first bell rings at 8:05, the second at 8:10. 

Breakfast, Snack and Lunch: DPS provides snacks Tuesday-Thursday, some classes might coordinate snacks for Monday/Friday or you can bring your own snack any day. Breakfast and lunch are free for all DPS students. Also, send a reusable water bottle! 

Specials: For Kinder-5th, each week your student will be either Music, Art or Gym. A new rotation starts every Monday. 

Homework: There is none!
