NEW Late-breaking research 12-page full papers for Review – CLOSED

Full late-breaking research papers for review (12 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically through EasyChair in the conference paper format which is available as PDF and RTF . One pdf file with the full paper including the title and abstract, with no author identification anywhere, needs to be submitted. The file name should commence with SHORT: .Separately, at time of submission you need to email the conference with a statement that at least one author will register and attend the conference to present the paper if accepted and that the paper has not been submitted elsewhere, please include the submission number in the subject of the email. Submission is through the EasyChair system accessed through the above link, where you will be required to set up a login account if you do not already have one.


Paper for Review Submission in pdf (no author identification) – CLOSED

Full papers for review (20 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically through EasyChair in the conference paper format which is available as PDF and RTF . Poster Abstract for Review Submission in pdf – CLOSED

Poster abstracts (2 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically in the poster format which available in PDF and RTF. Submission is through EasyChair, where you will be required to set up a login account if you don't already have one. A pdf file needs to submitted. When submitting, add POSTER at the beginning of the title of the file.


Proposals for Half-Day Workshop Submission in pdf – CLOSED

Proposals for half-day workshops on advanced topics related to design computing, design cognition or design neurocognition are due 25 February 2022. The workshops that succeed are those that provide considerable opportunity for discussion and are not run as mini-conferences.

Proposals for workshops should contain the following information in no more than 1000 words and be submitted as a PDF file:

  1. Workshop Title

  2. Name of Chair(s) plus email contact

  3. Committee of 3 to 5 people (with international representation)

  4. Goals of the workshop

  5. Workshop format

  6. Method of submission, admission to workshops is open but submissions may be restricted.

Email workshop submissions as a pdf file to the Conference Chair with the subject DCC22 Workshop.


Accepted, Revised FULL Paper Submission in docx (or rtf) and pdf (with full author identification)CLOSED

The printed proceedings will be published by Springer. Revised, accepted papers have an absolute page limit of 20 pages in the conference format. For those familiar with the DCC format style, the publisher has changed the format style, so papers may now look different. Note that the Abstract is limited to 150 words. You can download the style as a .docx file (DOCX), an rtf file (RTF), as an example paper in docx ( example paper in DOCX ), an example paper in rtf (example paper in RTF ) or as an example paper in pdf (example paper in PDF). Each paper needs a Consent form (consent) to be published. Submit the revised paper as a resubmission of the original submission number through EasyChair. A single zipped file containing four files: the paper in pdf, the paper in docx (or rtf), a note indicating how you have addressed the reviewers' comments in pdf, and the signed Consent form, needs to be submitted.

At least one author of each paper must register and pay by May 8, 2022 to have their paper included in the printed proceedings and a slot available for presentation. Note that an author presenting two papers will need to register as an additional presenter to cover the cost of inclusion of the additional paper the proceedings - see the Registration page.


Accepted Poster Abstract Submission in docx (or rtf) and pdf – CLOSED

Accepted poster abstracts (2 pages maximum) must be submitted electronically in the poster format which available in PDF and RTF. Both a docx (or rtf) and a pdf file need to submitted in a single zipped file. Submit the revised abstract as a resubmission using the original abstract number through EasyChair. When submitting add POSTER at the beginning of the title of the file.

At least one author of each accepted poster must register and pay for the conference by May 8, 2022 and attend the conference to have their poster abstract included in the poster publication and a slot available for presentation and display.


Accepted Posters
Posters should be printed and brought to the conference for hanging. They need to be A1 in size and format. A1 is 841 mm wide x 594 mm high or approximately 33 in wide x 23.5 in high.
Each poster author will have a 1.5 minute slot for an oral presentation in the main conference program with a maximum of 2 slides, with no animations.

Poster authors can present two slides related to their poster. Please send a single pdf file, labelled with the last name of the first author, containing your slides to Laura Hay <laura.hay@strath.ac.uk>.
