NFL Draft Prep Academy hosts the 1st Annual Defensive Back Retreat

The 1st Annual Defensive Back (DB) Retreat, hosted by Malik Boynton and Draft Prep Academy, was a resounding success, bringing together a group of dedicated athletes and an incredible support team for an unforgettable four-day experience. Set in a high-energy yet focused environment, the retreat was a testament to hard work, unity, and elite development.

Throughout the four days, players pushed themselves to new limits, displaying an unwavering commitment to their craft. From early morning workouts to late-night film sessions, their dedication and focus were unmatched. More importantly, a strong sense of brotherhood and togetherness developed among everyone in attendance, making the retreat not only a training ground but also a space for real growth and connection.

A huge thank you goes to the coaching staff and support staff, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured that everything ran smoothly. Their professionalism and passion created an atmosphere where athletes could truly thrive.

Special recognition goes out to Troy Williams, Chief Equity Officer for the City of Arlington, for his support and presence during the retreat. Also, a big shoutout to Cameron Monger and the entire team at All-Star Legacy Park, whose outstanding facilities and hospitality played a huge role in the success of the event.

With over 130 athletes in attendance, the event resulted in multiple scholarship offers for participants, as well as a coaching job for one of the coaches in attendance. 

The 1st Annual DB Retreat set a high standard—and this is only the beginning.
