It takes many hands to put together a great RG. We have tasks of all kinds and durations, both before and during the RG, including if you prefer to remain seated. 

1. • • We need bakers to make goodies in advance (supplies paid for by the RG).

     • Staff the Registration desk

     • Be a 'Speaker Shephard' to welcome and assist guest presenters 

     • Sign up for a shift in Hospitality

RG Policies & Guidelines

As you enjoy our Famous Dayton 24-hour Hospitality, please be mindful of a few important rules to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. 

1. Dayton Area Mensa is solely responsible for the entire RG. For RG concerns, see anyone wearing an ORANGE name tag (members of the RG Committee). Find help at the hotel front desk for any issues concerning your room, the restaurant, common areas of the hotel, and parking. 

2. Please observe the Code of Conduct for American Mensa events. The RG is limited to celebrating within the ballroom (hospitality), speaker rooms, and games room. Please be mindful of non-RG hotel guests outside this area. 

3. Your nametag is your ticket to the RG. Wear it at all times in the RG area in a position easily visible to a person of average height. (If you have preregistered but arrive after registration closes for the evening, a member of the RG committee can issue you a temporary badge until registration opens in the morning.)

4. Adult Beverages

• NEW: Due to hotel requirements, ALL alcoholic beverages must be in an opaque cup with a lid in all RG areas and hotel common areas. In other words, NO cans or bottles may leave the RG alcohol room - only the liquid they contained. (DAM will provide a lidded cup with each adult registration. Please consider bringing a personal lidded cup you can easily identify.)

• DAM supports the state laws prohibiting the distribution of any alcohol to any minor (those wearing a LIME nametag). 

• Over-served guests will have their privileges suspended. Possession and/or use of illegal substances will not be tolerated. 

5. Enjoy all the beverages and snackages offered, but please respect the food and the premises. It is ecologically intelligent and aesthetically pleasing to take what you want, eat what you take, and dispose of the detritus.
