We came here for an early dinner, and the Pine Club was even then getting crowded and loud. This was our first time here, and we were both pleased to see that there is a dress code.
This location is a popular regional staple in Dayton Ohio ... they have actually the best salads. It is expensive however a spot you should certainly try if you have never been. It is a little too dark for me however many like that type environment. I know everyone likes this location and Presidents have eaten here. I believed it was the greatest considering the quality of food. My husband eats steak everywhere he goes and says it is the best meal he has had.
George Bush has dined here and many other notable folks. Michael Stern, co-author of "Roadfood," determined the Pine Club as his preferred steakhouse in the nation in an USA Today story. The Pine Club has likewise scored shout-outs from Premium Publication and Tastingtable.com, to name a few. The steakhouse opened in 1947 at 1926 Brown St.

We took our 25 year old and 2 New York City friends to the Pine Club a few months back, and it blew them away. There is a good reason the NY Times says this is the # 2 steakhouse in America.
I must say that I have been to many other top steak houses, including both locations of Peter Luger's (which is the #1). I enjoyed my experience at Pine Club.
The Food Menu
Appetisers, such as shrimp cocktails, broiled lobster tails, oysters which can be raw or fried, scallops, onion rings, creamed spinach, and marinated herring in sour cream.
The Steaks offer were filet mignon, strip loin, porterhouse, rib eye, filet, in addition to beef tenderloin, lamb loin chops, veal chops, pork chops, trout, shrimp, liver and onions.
They offered different salads, asparagus with hollandaise, lyonaisse potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms. Shoot I am hungry just writing this! :)
Bottom line is this if your traveling thru Dayton it would be a crime if you didn't stop at the Pine Club.
