2026-08-08: The Julia packages DensityBasedClusteringValidation and HDBSCAN, to which I contributed, were published on Julia Hub.
2026-08-04: My article titled "Eleven quick tips to reduce overfitting in machine learning", mainly written by Luca Oneto, was published in the International Journal of Data Science and Analytics.
2026-07-22: My short paper titled "An unsupervised clustering analysis of breast cancer data derived from electronic health records enhanced through UMAP dimensionality reduction", mainly written by Nicoletta Benvenuto and accepted at the CIBB 2026 conference, was released as a preprint on arXiv.
2026-07-14: I participated in the IFCS 2026 conference (the 19th Conference of the International Federation of Classification Societies) at Università di Milano-Bicocca where I gave an invited talk titled "How to assess my clustering results? Evaluation metrics for unsupervised machine learning outcomes".
2026-07-09: I attended the Human Pangenome genomics workshop at Università di Milano-Bicocca.
2026-07-01: I gave a talk titled "How to assess my results? Evaluation metrics for supervised and unsupervised machine learning results" at Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Univerzitet u Sarajevu (Bosnia-Herzegovina). I've been hosted for a short stay by Amila Akagic within the Erasmus+ UniAdrion programme.
