I am a member of the American Library Association and the Oklahoma Library Association, presented at the OLA Annual Conference (Comic Books as Folklore), served on the board of directors for Mid America Technology Center’s Leadership Mid America program, and served on the board of directors of the Noble Chamber of Commerce.
Currently, my participation in these organizations is minimal with school, work, family, and life taking up most of my time. In the future, I hope to work with ALA’s Graphic Novels & Comics Roundtable (GNCRT) and maybe find or found a group like the GNCRT that focuses on music.
My long term goal is pretty simple, to continue to work in public libraries servicing the community. I want to help people and spread kindness as much as I can, for as long as I can. Like The Bouncing Souls (2001) once sang, “If I want to change the world, it's gotta start with me.”
The Bouncing Souls. (2001). That song [Song]. On How I spent my summer vacation [Album]. Epitaph Records.
