This song marks the beginning of the collection, and is the first section of the song that follows, II.
It was the first appearance of the leitmotif that would later appear many times in II, like a message being secretly repeated to someone who isn't truly listening-- hence it's name.

‘today’ has ‘ended’ again
now the rain, and only I remain
soon the night covers up the truth,
it all repeats forever
“why must it be this way?”
abolishing the lenses that hide it all,
my vision blurs, the world turning into
the palest shade of blue
you say “the eyes are the gate to the soul”
it makes me wonder what it is
that you see inside of my own…?
Words concealed in plain view,
Silently begging to be set free--
Artistry with true meanings of tears,
It's right in front of you
“Can you hear me?”
Empty, I’ll be
The silence repeats
Maybe you’ll hear
the (II)nd time…
tangled, all these feelings are,
and that reverie, its still so far
that distant dream, that last puzzle piece–
it leaves it all incomplete
“for now, i’ll be free” (for now, i’ll be free)
its all blurred, and yet so crystal clear…
so ill stay…
in this emptiness
once more, today.
don’t trust all of these new coats of paint,
‘cause in the end, they crack away again
if you knew this was me,
would you… still… like… me…?
Words concealed in plain view,
Silently begging to be set free--
Artistry with true meanings of tears,
It's right in front of you
“Can you hear me?”
Empty, I’ll be
The same words repeat
Maybe you’ll hear
each word I say…
…
I know it’s all foolish,
so please don’t belittle me
won't you hear me, just one more time…?
Only I, when the night falls
Drained of the bright palette you used to know
Illustrating this feeling once more…
“I’m still quite lost”
Enclosed by all the times,
Day after day,
Regretful, I stay
Even my hollow soul
Can’t bear it all
but I’ll sing again, (this monochrome melody)
a (II)nd time
Wow. I put a lot of thought into this one.
"A song about a language of communication which no one seems to understand..."
This song is a sequel to a song in Shinjitsu, one about the concept of that album (and this one too) as a whole-- The idea that the album was a musical representation of events in my life.
After the feedback of the album, I noticed that there was many people that didn't quite see the songs of Shinjitsu (especially the vocal ones) as ones that might be about topics that are important to me, or even joked about them. In any case, didn't feel too good, even if I knew that there would be people that would do that before.
That said, II serves as a response, one where a second view-over is requested to the previously-mentioned people, through lyrical metaphors.
Many of those lyrical metaphors are also later shown in my designs and songs for myself.
All of that said, "hey... can you hear me?" also ties a lot into the reason why im so proud of the amount of information and thought I put into this song.
I first made concepts for II as a song in Summer of 2023, and really started to flesh them out with visuals and lyrics in Fall of the same year.
Near the end of December of 2023, I was really putting so much into Shinjitsu II's start as a whole, but especially on this song. It took lots of energy, but I think it payed off.
Looking back at it, I shouldn't really have looked at other people's opinions so personally, even if I wasn't trying too-- but at least I made something cool out of how I felt...?

This one was fun to make, really fun.
I threw it together in just a few hours, but it ended up being many people's favorite song in the album-- That makes me kind of happy to know people like the kind of stuff I do, when it comes to songs like this.
This was my first song where I used Jersey and 808 percussive elements, and more so, combining them with bright piano melodies. It's uniqueness is what I think made it so popular, and I'm happy to have tried to make something like this at all.
"But Dashy, how on earth does this song relate to your life?" you may ask.
It's very simple compared to the other songs.
It's about an idea I've thought about many times, being "what will I be able to do before I run out of time on earth?" and though, yes, it sounds a little brutal, but it doesn't feel that way-- It's more a song of questioning what puzzle pieces I should put into my life, like what people, hobbies, projects, etc. There's no truly perfect result in the end, but that's life.
I think this is an idea that comes to everyone's mind at some point, so when it came across mine, I made a song with it.

君が私に初めて
告白したあの日から
私の心の中では
ずっと君のことが渦巻いていた
赤い糸の終わりはもう (why can't i just love you?)
見えないはずだね
こんな強い絆があっても (those eyes scream "you're the fool")
私の炎の翼は (for an endless unison)
もっと明るく燃えている
君の心拍のペースに合わせて
きっと君の側に
飛んで行くよ!
Originally, this song was supposed to be entirely different, from the sound of the song, to the topic, and that is because the emotion relating to it entirely changed while I was making concepts for it.
Allow me to explain:
Originally, I wanted to write a song about wishing for true love, and the pain that comes with not having it. I wanted it to be a soft song, like Sugarcoat by DAZBEE, one with soft hints of sorrow under a bright song.
But, only a couple months after, my childhood friend confessed his love to me, and I can't describe how happy being in a relationship with him makes me, he's so perfect!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
But, there was a problem with that; I was too happy. Being separated from him created a very painful sensation I never felt before... So I wrote a song about how that felt, and how I would do anything to be with him (as well as hints of the uncomfortable feeling that comes with being in a homosexual relationship under the public eye) instead.
The inspiration behind the final product include
最終列車で君に会いにゆくby ChoQMay for thematics and emotions
ALIVE by ClariS for how the song actually sounds
and つぼみ by 達見 恵 featured by 佐野宏晃 for the same reason as above
More on the visual side of things, some people have asked me about it before, so I'll put it here too.
"Why did you portray your boyfriend as fire?"
Many metaphorical reasons-- just like fire, he:
Is warm, comforting
Can be fierce
Is strong
Is a very, very bright person, one who puts smiles around!

Short Version:
Years ago, a storm was born upon this life
Only making a pain stronger with each incident
Although that youthful soul had never known
That those beasts attempted to guard what is "identity"
Breaking what defines myself is why you're here
The scenarios where i was only lies.
(a catastrophe?)
A mixture of true and false,
The dishonesty I truly fear
And with each instance, comes your
Growing violent energy
Despite the pain you all bring
I know you're simply defending what is "me"
Years ago, a sorry seam created thee--
Sadness from all of the times I wish would never be
Within the figments of an awful dream,
There was you, arming mistakes that, now, I always see...
Oh, "I'm sorry", the words I always want to say,
No matter how much they rupture the mood of the days
When you return and bring me back to life,
The marionette's string become torn, no longer fallacy.
So, even before the first trio of songs was even released, I wanted to make a song where I had an outfit like this, and was accompanied by monsters like this, too. But what does it mean?
This song is about the confusing and varying nature of regret itself. This is a phenomenon I've experienced for most of my life, so I knew I had to include something about it ever since I had the idea to make a sequel to Shinjitsu.
The beasts all represent a regret associated with some kind of action, and they all have names, too; (Noise is the mouth-headed one, Time is the clock-headed one, Fault is the fire child, Failure is the tentacled creature, and Word is the horned one.)
There very likely might be another song about it all, with the same beasts as well.
Inspiration-wise, I was very inspired by TOMOSUKE's works under the alias "Kuroneko Dungeon". More specifically, "リリーゼと炎龍レーヴァテイン". Some parts sound so similar to it that I'm worried it sounds too similar, but maybe I'm just over-thinking it.
Since this kind of song is so nostalgic, finding this song felt really meaningful, so very soon after, I wanted to make something like it.
