Hello, it's me.
Lately, I've been back strong working on Staccato Gardenia again. Having worked on the story for the past year consistently now, I've finally reached the end and sealed many of the gaps in the overarching ideas... which means I can finally get to depicting it confidently!
I've begun storyboarding the prologue once again, for the third time... Looking back at the first time where things were too simple, plain or boring, and the second time where I spent so much time animating that I got burnt out, I need to find a balance. It will likely be more on the animatic side of media, not super animated in every corner, at least for this prologue. My main goal at the moment is to just get Staccato Gardenia out there in one way or another, and then once the snowball starts rolling, then maybe it'll be easier to make more visually detailed episodes...
Oh, also, I've finally got around to updating the Staccato Gardenia page to be more cohesive and modern with the current status of the project. It's still rather under construction, but I'll make the page public for anyone who wants to see what I've written there...
Thank you as always, for reading this, and for your support.
I'll keep working hard!

Hello, it's me.
Staccato Gardenia has seemed pretty quiet, hasn't it? Despite the project being a work-in-progress for the past (nearly) four years, nothing has come out yet... I'm sorry.
Last year, not too much media came out, but I was working rather hard on character concepts, and especially fine-tuning the story, in every way. Writing a story takes much more effort and problem-solving than one would expect...
Additionally, I was working on the second version of the prologue, that I started in 2023. By the summer of 2024, my artstyle was changing, and the story was too. Also, I spent a little too much work on small scenes, so progress was really slow... The more time went on, the more I thought about changing, and so, the more I considered scrapping it once more, and ultimately, I think it is what I will do.
Yet again, I'm honestly rather glad to redo it... I know I can make it even better.
Since then, I've been writing lots of the story, and making lots of concept art to be more comfortable with drawing all the characters. Many of it has spoilers, which is the only reason why I haven't been posting too much about it.
Thank you for your patience, I'll keep working hard.
Surely, it wont be too much longer...

Hello again,
I finally put in a little more work into a very long-awaited page: The Melody Album.
The melody album is basically a discography of every song I've completed. It also includes some other cool stuff, like behind-the-scenes notes, or the meaning behind some stuff, and more...
I hope you enjoy it, even if it's heavily under construction-- I'll add the rest of the songs over time.
Thank you,
Dashy.
Hello again... Please pardon my absence, I've been meaning to make more public appearances and such, but I've been so busy over this whole year, with stuff outside of my creations... So, no point in waiting, I'll fill you in on everything.
First of all, how is Shinjitsu II doing?
Musically, I've been juggling many things. But as of now, four songs are released, one is unreleased (hidden) and two are still in the works. I'd say I'm about 50% done with it...? That also means that this will likely be my first collection of songs that will take longer then a year to release... Maybe I'll split the album in half? I'm unsure.
How about Staccato Gardenia?
My lack of progress on Staccato Gardenia over the past few months has been saddening, almost-- I haven't really done anything. I'm still writing every arc and episode out to make it as cohesive and interesting as possible, and frankly, it's difficult... I'll keep working on it, no matter what.
And... OpenTaiko?
OpenTaiko has likely had the most of my attention this year, and many of the other team members would say that many big things are happening with it as well. I've made many original songs for it (and not like those of Shinjitsu that were also made out of my own accord) as well as giving it all a new visual taste, through the sequel of Open-World Memories, known as "Open-World Memories V2: Gleaming Sky", and the new/remastered characters under the project name "Open-World Universe".
If you want to know the specifics, I've made enough songs to where I am planning to make an album made up of said songs. Currently, there are three playable songs, an extended song that appears in the menus of Open-World Memories V1, and a new opening theme (and movie) for Gleaming Sky! More news will be coming soon.
Additionally, there's one more very, very secret song I've been working on over the past couple of months, and it's a big collaboration with many people... Please keep your ears and eyes peeled.
It's a song about a soul-less girl who can't define herself...
... How sad. I hope she'll see some color in the world soon.
I'll leave it at that for now.
Thank you for your support, I'll keep working hard.

(p.s. You may have noticed my name has sort of changed in some places! "What does the comma mean, Dashy?" A comma implies that the statement will continue, a story growing. That story is simply my own.)
Hello again... Happy New Year.
So, Shinjitsu II (Sequel to Shinjitsu)'s first three songs were released on I/I/2024, and since then, the songs have gotten lots of good feedback. Thank you all for your support.
Along with the new year, there are many new changes to the website.
- The Taiko Chart Downloads Page has gotten many changes, now with several new songs and a new "Chart Type" system, so you know what you're signing up for before you play.
- In the Sketchbook Page, there is now a collage made up of just images from the "II" music video. If you want a closer look at the art in the video, its... there.
- There's been some minor visual changes from place to place... not so important, I suppose.
Along with these, there will be some brand new pages soon enough, for example, a discography of all my songs with their descriptions (their meanings)... just because it would be nice to have all in one place. There will also be a page in the "current projects" section dedicated to my work on the computer game OpenTaiko.
Well then... even after making the music video, I still have a lot on my plate in terms of things to make... I hope you look forward to what's coming soon. Thank you for your overwhelming support, as always.

Hello again...
So, Staccato Gardenia has been around for a little while, hasn't it? Why is it that the first animated episode isn't out, even after two years?
I started working on the animated prologue right away in September of 2021, with the story mostly in my head. I continued to work on small scenes, and bits and pieces through 2022 as well. However, over time, I began to realize the flaws in it or how I could rewrite it in a more interesting way.
So in June of 2023, I began to write every last detail and story, script, etc. of Staccato Gardenia, including the redone prologue. With what I wrote, I illustrated a storyboard comic of the prologue, which is pretty much what the episode will shape up to be like.
Also, I've attached two images . One from the prologue of 2021, and one of 2023. My change in art-style, and also the change in the girl and Rumi's designs was also one of the major reasons why I decided to redo the prologue.
I don't think I'll have to redo it again thanks to my drafts... Maybe I'll finish it this year?
We'll see.

Hello again...
I've made a few more edits to the Staccato Gardenia Page...
There's some new details on the Character Dictionary page, such as every character's new "Appearances" section, and also small clues at who hasn't been discovered quite yet...
There's also one new comic in the Our "Everyday" page...
and... that's sort of it, I think.
I'll keep working on this project as much as I can, so check back soon...

It's been a while, hasn't it?
I've updated the website once more, now with many new changes.
- The Staccato Gardenia Page has changed a lot, with the new "Comics" page. If you're interested on what I've been up to, its a nice place to check...
Of course there's also a few new taiko charts,
and finally......................................?
...Maybe I shouldn't say.
That's all for now.

So... it's me again.
I've updated the website once more, now with many new changes.
First of all, Version 2.0 of the Point Redeem computer has appeared.
Here's what's changed:
There's more ways to get more points now, such as Stream Events, and Secret Codes hidden in some of my videos and songs. More details on the Codes / Point Redeem page.
Next, new Taiko Charts...
Hachi has been listening to a lot of music lately, so he's added many songs since the last update. I would highly recommend you take a look.
Also, the Staccato Gardenia page has been updated.
in the Gallery section, new scenes of the First Episode (coming soon) have been added. Remember, if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask in the Official Discord Server (found in the home page, if you haven't joined yet.)
Lastly, the Sketchbook page has been updated.
If you would like to see some of my new illustrations, you can check the Sketchbook page.
And well, that's all the new website related things.
Thank you all for your continued support over this past year.
Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year, if you celebrate that is.
That's all for now.

So... it's me again.
I've updated the website again.
Hachi wanted to add a new song to the taiko section, and he did. "Everblue" from Blue Period is now available for download at the Taiko Chart page.
I've also added a personal project section, which contains info on Staccato Gardenia, a series I've been working on, as well as an update to the sketchbook session.
Perhaps that's all for now.

6/3/22.
So... just a small chat. Not exactly an announcement or anything, but just what's been going on with me lately.
As you can see, I have updated the site... More specifically, the taiko section. I posted 2 more packs, is really all I did.
I also recently made another video which used my voice a lot.... I tend to be quite regretful with many of my actions, and especially social ones...
... I don't know... Perhaps I'm just not... that kind of person, I suppose
I've also been considering working on more animated shorts, I just don't have a method of creating digital art at the moment...
"the art-less artist ghost"... how sad....
... Thanks for reading this, I appreciate it.
... I''ll be here if you need anything, as always.

5/16/2022!

- Various bug fixes and Music/SFX added to the Codes/Point redeem page!
- Dan/Discord event chart section was added to my page!
- Discord Link was put onto the Home page!
I think that's all for now. I hope I get to see you sometime again soon, da-don!

So... I've created a new composition.
For this one, I wanted to make a song that seemed like it belonged to... me ...and that's why the name translates to "it's Dashy." / "I'm Dashy" (depending on the context, that is. Japanese can get sort of tough.)
This one has lyrics in a few sections, and I felt that if I did something as small as this, perhaps I could get to bigger musical/vocal accomplishments...
Also, I used some new synths and concepts, and I feel that this new style came out pretty... okay.
If you like, you could listen to it here... only if you'd like to, I don't like forcing people to do things they don't want to........

5/12/2022.
So, I decided perhaps it would be nice to have a website to put things on like my taiko charts and art pieces so that they're accessible to anyone who wants to find them without having to search all around the internet. I do hope that you enjoy what comes here, whether its for art, charts, songs, or anything else, I suppose.
... Well, I hope you have a nice day. I'll be here, waiting.
- Dashy
Looks like that was all of the mail.
