As the old adage goes .. "communication is key".  We are a community of (hopefully) like minded individuals who want to enjoy WoW in their free time, fairly hassle free.  

We have a variety of options available to guild members who wish to communicate with others in the guild.  

Obviously the first option is in-game guild chat.  That way you can "speak" via text to other guild members who are online at the same time as you - exchanging news, telling jokes, asking for advice, organising groups .. all that sort of stuff.

We then have our extensive Discord, with multiple channels for all aspects of the game, and some outside of the game too.  For example we have class and role channels, raiding channels, M+ channels, alongside channels where we can share photos of our pets, or pass along our favourite recipes, or even discuss other games.

Within our Discord we also have voice channels - some reserved for guild members and some where guests can join, for example if they're joining a part-guild M+ group.

Speaking of voice communication .. we also have our own Teamspeak server.  This is a free, specially negotiated, large voice server kindly hosted by one of our guild members.  We use Teamspeak solely for voice chat for our raids.

We use both Teamspeak and Discord because:

• It's free .. and it is good to have an alternative if one goes offline.

• Teamspeak has a better overlay and admin options than Discord, which is useful for larger group events.

• Occasionally we will have someone use BOTH at the same time .. Teamspeak for raid chat and Discord for streaming events or helping with language/translations (all raids are run with the expectation that everyone is on voice chat and can understand spoken English, but sometimes a bit of confirmation is useful if English isn't your first language).

Please note that, outside of group events, our members do not usually "hang around" on voice chat.  Most of us have busy lives, are often multitasking, and see no reason to sit in voice chat unless it's for a specific event.
