I preferred hats to head wraps because they were easy to take on and off without a mirror to make sure they were on right.
My doctor emphasized how important suncreen was due to the increased sensitivity of skin as well as the body’s inability to repair itself due to the chemotherapy.
The zippers were crucial for me because my temperature fluctuated drastically and erratically, the hoods were convenient so I didn’t have to carry a hat with me all the time (not just for warmth but to protect against uncomfortable surfaces like leather couches as well).
I always kept these on hand because my nose would run and/or bleed suddenly and when I would sweat suddenly it would get into my eyes and irritate them if I didn’t wipe it away
I would wake up drenched in sweat often so it was very nice to be able to reach a towel to wipe away the sweat
