We are a club that travels to Polson Middle School once a week to tutor middle school students in a variety of subjects, including Math and English. Join Hand’s Math Team - Junior Varsity for underclassmen, and Varsity for upperclassmen and qualifying underclassmen. This extracurricular is a great opportunity to use your math skills in challenging and unique ways, meet students from different schools, and show your academic strengths to colleges. Run by co-captains Seoyoun Kim, Lisa Liang, and Vincent Calia-Bogan, the Math Team competes with other schools in Connecticut from September through March. Whether you’re a freshmen or a senior, any highschool student can join at any given time throughout the year! Practices are every Monday after school at 2pm, and Math meets are every month on Thursdays.

DHHS Varsity or Novice debate team is a great way for Hand students to learn effective discussion, reasoning and collaboration skills. Debaters are challenged both academically and creatively as they collaberate with other students and team up to debate against other schools in the CT area. Everyone is welcome.
