I have consistently sought opportunities to serve others, extending my efforts beyond the Xavier community to make a positive impact in the broader New Orleans area. In October 2022, I joined members of my living community to prepare treat and goody bags for individuals at the Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Center in New Orleans. Together, we filled the bags with candy, treats, and toys as a small gesture of support for those undergoing rehabilitation.
As an active member of the Greater New Orleans ceramics artist community, I also volunteered at the Posh Clay Ceramics Studio Holiday Sale in December 2022. My role included setting up booths, assisting at tables, and helping with cleanup and breakdown after the event. During the sale, I promoted the Empty Bowls Project, a grassroots initiative by artists and craftspeople worldwide to raise funds for food-related charities aimed at combating hunger in local communities.
In June 2023, I worked with my neighbors from Crescent Club Apartments to make sandwiches for the community fridges in New Orleans, helping provide meals for those in need.
Later that year, in Fall 2023, I participated in a neighborhood cleanup with my student club GAPAS, picking up trash around the Gert Town area to help maintain a cleaner and more vibrant community.
Most recently, I volunteered alongside GAPAS with the Second Harvest Food Bank in April 2025, continuing my commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting the well-being of those in need in the Greater New Orleans area.
