Hello, my name is Daniel Galis, and I am a dedicated middle and secondary social studies teacher. I grew up in Northbrook, IL, and graduated from Glenbrook North High School. I continued my education at Illinois State University, earning my Bachelor of Science in History - Social Sciences Teacher Education in December 2024.
Teaching is not just a career for me—it’s a passion. I am excited to embark on this journey of educating and empowering students. I firmly believe in building strong relationships with my students while fostering an environment of high expectations. By encouraging accountability and growth, I aim to help every student reach their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom.
During my student teaching experience at West Leyden High School in Northlake, IL, I taught two sections of U.S. History and three sections of Bilingual Global Studies. Additionally, I had the privilege of co-sponsoring the Psychology Club, which allowed me to connect with students beyond the classroom. I am grateful to have worked alongside two exceptional cooperating teachers, who instilled in me the values and practices that define great educators.
This ePortfolio showcases my lessons, projects, and experiences, reflecting my approach to education and dedication to student success. Thank you for taking the time to explore my work—I look forward to connecting with you!
