Power BI Dashboard – Global Sales & Profit Analysis
This Power BI dashboard was created to analyze global product sales and profitability across different categories, territories, and time periods. I used a variety of visualizations—including line graphs, bar charts, and stacked columns—to display key metrics such as gross sales, net profit, and profit margin. At the top, the dashboard presents total net profit ($9.37M) and average profit margin (8.53%), alongside visual comparisons of net sales versus net profit by territory and year-over-year growth by region. Interactive filters allow users to drill down by territory group, category, and subcategory for more detailed insights.
Some of the key takeaways from this analysis include that bikes consistently generate the highest gross sales throughout the year, Germany and the UK show significant year-over-year sales growth, and North America leads in total net sales, especially during 2018. Additionally, profit margins vary widely by subcategory, with items like fenders and bike stands delivering higher profitability. This project strengthened my skills in data visualization, dashboard design, and KPI storytelling, and helped me turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using Power BI.
