Me winning Jenga during Fall 2023 Welcome back week club's acknowledgement event.
After graduating from APHS I wasn't sure where I would go from there. It's easy for a lot of students to just decide to join a trade or go to college because their parents are rich. Well, trades didn't interest me enough and my family isn't rich. So, I had a lot of research to do to if I was going to make it work and not have to pay back debt for the rest of my life. One day however, I was cleaning out my emails because my school email account was going to be deleted and I didn't want to lose anything important. Then it happened! I saw an email that gave me an offer I couldn't refuse, from a college that was rather close to my home. I had to rub my eyes in disbelief, there was no way it was real. I decided applying for the HVCC Honor Society couldn't hurt. Worst that would happen was it was some fake email trying to steal my information. I was greeted with another email saying there would be an interview. I must admit, I was rather nervous, being accepted could be life changing. After a successful round table interview, I was accepted into the HVCC Honor Society! I was just in time for the first year of this new prestigious college society that offered many benefits and opportunities such as being able to get into other honor societies and even give back to the community by volunteering with my peers. Sometimes you just have to be willing to take the risk to make your dreams come true. So, for the next two years I will work as hard as I can to show my potential and expand my future opportunities.
