Dana Engineering Consulting, LLC is proud to announce our certification as a Federal Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business through the SBA WOSB Federal Contract Program.
Women-owned businesses are one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. As we continue to look to small businesses to grow, create jobs and lead America into the future, women-owned businesses will play a key role. That’s why providing them with all the tools necessary to compete for and win federal contracts is so important. Federal contracts can provide women-owned small businesses with the oxygen they need to take their business to the next level.
The WOSB Federal Contract Program will provide greater access to federal contracting opportunities for WOSBs and economically-disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSBs). The Program allows contracting officers, for the first time, to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs and EDWOSBs and will help federal agencies achieve the existing statutory goal of five percent of federal contracting dollars being awarded to WOSBs.
This certification status can be viewed at SBA’s Dynamic Small Business Search. Dana Engineering Consultants is certified as an EDWOSB under the following NAICS codes:
541330 - Engineering Services
541611 - Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services
541618 - Other Management Consulting Services
541690 - Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services
541900 - All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Consulting Services
611430 - Professional and Management Development Training
Contracting Officers have access to the WOSB Repository available at https://certify.sba.gov. Pursuant to FAR 19.1505(e), Contracting officers must check whether the apparent successful offeror provided all the required eligibility documents set forth in 13 CFR 127.300(d) or (e). DEC has filed the required documents in the WOSB Repository at SBA One Contracting Portal.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that 83 industries, ranging from facilities support to computer systems design, are in industries where women are traditionally underrepresented. If a NAICS Code is assigned to a contract solicitation in an industry in which WOSBs are substantially underrepresented, a set-aside or sole-source award may be made to a WOSB.
The FAR Council’s Interim Final Rule implementing sole source authority became effective on December 31, 2015. For a WOSB Sole-Source Contract, four requirements must be met:
