Qualifications:
At a minimum, the inspector must have, or be able to obtain, the following training and/or qualifications:
A. DOE 0336, Hanford Site Lockout/Tagout
B. NFPA 70E-2018, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
C. NEC Code Update
D. A combination of a, b, or c and d.
a) Not less than four years of experience as a journey-level electrician installing and maintaining electrical equipment, or
b) Two years electrical training in a college of electrical engineering of recognized standing and four years continuous practical electrical experience in installation work, or
c) Four years of electrical engineering of recognized standing and two years continuous practical electrical experience in electrical installation work, and
d) Passed a nationally recognized test for general electrical inspectors and plan review inspector. These tests will be certified by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) or the International Code Council (ICC).
