CALL IN RADIO SHOW
Hey, what's up, guys? Welcome to JHG radio show. We have a crazy day in store for you listeners on the other end. We're going to have a few guests call in that might have some quarrels with one another so today's show might get a little intense.
First up on the show we have a Pandava, Arjuna, who has had a lot on his plate. Arjuna, how are you this evening?
Arjuna: I have had better days I will say.
Host: What all has been happening to you because it sounds like you have been having some rough times?
Arjuna: Well, there has been a lot before this but what really set me off was learning that my son died. When I heard that, I only had one thing on my mind which was to kill the person who did it which was Jayadratha. I vowed to kill him and I ended up carrying out my vow and killed the person behind my son's death.
Host: It seems this wasn't the end of your violent ways. What else happened after this?
Arjuna: Well, after that I went into battle and ended up killing Karna in a battle. Even after all the killing and avenging my son's death, none of that will bring him back. I still have a big hole in my heart as I have lost the only thing I cherish on this earth.
Host: Well, Arjuna, I am truly sorry for your loss and it seems like you have had an interesting last couple weeks and we thank you for being on air with us.
Next on air we have a fan of Arjuna's. How are you doing, caller number one?
Caller #1: I am doing okay. Listening to Arjuna's sad story makes me wish I could give him a big hug. No one should have to go through losing a child and I wanted to call in today and tell Arjuna I completely understand why you have done what you have done. I am not the only one who stands by you and supports you through your hard times.
Host: Well, thank you, caller #1. That was very heartfelt and I am sure Arjuna really appreciates all the love and support from his fans. Next up on the air, we have someone who does not agree with Arjuna's actions at all. How are we doing today, caller number two?
Caller #2: I am a little upset after hearing Arjuna's story. As I am sorry he lost his son, that does not mean he can go out and kill a bunch of people. You cannot counter hate with more hate. He had the opportunity to be the bigger person, but he chose violence because that is all he knows and it sickens me. Even after all the people he killed, he even admitted that it did not fill the void of his dead son. Violence should never be the answer and I used to be a fan of Arjuna's. but after hearing his story today, I can no longer support him.
Host: Alright, caller #2, thank you for joining us today and telling us how you and potentially others might feel. You have really shed some light on the situations for all our listeners.

Author's Note: I decided to turn the story of Mahabharata part D into a sort of radio show where we could hear some of the plots from the stories from different characters' point of view. I decided to choose Arjuna to chime in because he had some good stories and provided a great way for callers to call in and give their point of views. I stayed pretty close to most of the plot and kind of just put a little spin on some of the characters to show a little more emotion from each of them. I wanted to make it seem like you were on an actual radio show and we were listening to these guest speakers tell their sides of the story because we only know the vague outlines of what happens. I also enjoyed bringing in a few guests to see their reactions to Arjuna's story. Unfortunately, everything on this radio show had a pretty sad mood to it as most of the stories involved loved ones dying but this also increased the empathy aspect for our listeners. I enjoyed using this radio style version of telling this story because it brings a real life aspect to it and I feel readers can relate more while reading it be a little more interested in the style of which it is portrayed.
