Resources are organized by area of interest and include introductory materials, organizations, courses, and selected learning tools. They are intended as starting points for further exploration rather than exhaustive lists. The materials here are not meant to replace formal training on any of the subjects below. If you are new to extreme medicine, consider starting with general resources before exploring specific domains. Each section highlights a small number of high-yield resources to support focused learning. Credits to the original creators of the resources listed below.

Associations/Groups
Note: There are many benefits to being a part of an association, such as networking & access to exclusive learning opportunities. However, there is a monetary cost associated with these. Your mileage may vary depending on how much you put into it, but nonetheless there are some great benefits! The following groups have student membership rates, unless otherwise stated.
Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine: Has sections/interests that encompass many of MedX's and has a medical learners interest group
Society for Rural Physicians Canada: Has a comprehensive student's section with various committees + student membership is free
World Extreme Medicine: Does not have a student section & rate, but has excellent resources and courses on extreme medicine
