Teaching Philosophy

All students should be challenged and supported to maximize their potential—mentally, emotionally, and socially. My goal is to create an atmosphere where students feel safe and encouraged to explore their thoughts, opinions, and personalities, while recognizing that meaningful growth requires effort, accountability, and perseverance. Every student has something valuable to contribute, and I aim to help them realize their ability to succeed academically and beyond.

As an educator, I am committed to helping each child develop their unique potential and learning style. I foster a low-anxiety environment, integrating diverse instructional methods to reach all learners. Through hands-on learning, cooperative projects, and contemporary themes, I work to engage and challenge my students while ensuring they take responsibility for their learning.

I have a deep passion for History, Geography, and Civics, and with that comes a firm belief that my personal politics should remain outside the classroom. I advocate for presenting multiple perspectives, encouraging students to form and defend their own opinions. By fostering critical thinking and fair evaluation, I strive to create a balanced classroom where students are equipped to navigate and contribute to a complex world.

Finally, I hold my students to high standards of kindness, respect, and intellectual effort. These values, coupled with a supportive and structured environment, ensure they leave my classroom not only better informed but also better prepared to grow into responsible, empathetic citizens.
