The Dallas County Sheriff's Office has wonderful employment opportunities for those interesting in working inside of Law Enforcement. The steps are outlines below to become a Deputy within the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.
Step 1: Fill out an Application
Fill out the application in order to have a chance of being accepted as a Cadet within the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Ensure that you follow all instructions and use as much detail as possible to increase the chances of being accepted within the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.
Step 2: Complete the Academy
After passing your application, join the Discord server provided in the DM you receive from the application reader. Once you receive your roles, you will need to request a training in order to receive your certifications. Once you pass the training, you will receive all the necessary certifications to be able to patrol. However, there is still one final step in order to become an official deputy.
Step 3: Complete your Ride Along
After completing your training, you will need to do a ride along with a field supervisor. Your supervisor will drive for half the ride along and then let you drive for the other half of the ride along. The ride along will test your ability to apply your training to you job as a deputy.
Step 4: Your a Deputy!
After passage of your ride along, you will be ranked as "Deputy" making you an official Deputy of the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.
