Frank Sloup

Frank Sloup was sworn in as the Dallas County Sheriff on December 15th after replacing Acting Sheriff Aiden. Sheriff Sloup has had a long career in Law Enforcement taking on several leadership responsibilities. He was previously employed at the Texas Department of Public Safety as the Deputy Director (Lieutenant Colonel) for several months after departing to join the Sheriff's Office. He would be appointed as the Chief Deputy under former Sheriff Karl Shanks. He would also be appointed as the Internal Affairs Deputy Director for the department. He would stay as Chief Deputy until his appointment to Sheriff.
