How students learn

Students learn in many different ways that need to be covered. Some students learn better from lectures and presentations, and others from hands on experience. All of these need to be covered in a classroom environment to ensure each student gets an equal opportunity to learn. 

What students should be taught

Students should be taught based on older texts and history in combination with current events. This allows for students to learn both historical information and current event information that can influence their decision making for the future.  Learning the history from older resources can be used to create a basis of knowledge that the students can connect to the current events that they're studying. 

How students should be taught

Students should taught in a classroom that is teacher centered. The students should be taught through collaborative work that both educates the students on the current unit and allows for a more interesting assignment. Students should also be taught using lecture style units when necessary, these lectures could also work in combination with group assignments to increase work efficiency.

The conditions under which students learn the best

Students learn the best under conditions that help them relax and stay focused at the same time. Having students be relaxed can help remove stress from the class. Students should also be in an environment where they feel cared about and where they know they can ask for help. The conditions of a classroom need to reduce stress of students but also needs to be able to keep them focused during learning time. 

The qualities that make up a good teacher

A good sense of humor can make a classroom a very enjoyable environment. Having an fun classroom can help students feel more relaxed in class which can improve work efficiency. A good sense of humor can also help the students feel more connected to the teacher which can make teaching lessons and getting students attention easier. Having a strong connection to a teacher can be useful when a student is having trouble with the class and needs help. The teacher can become a trusted adult for the students to talk to when they need general help as well.
