“Be yourself! Everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
Ms Monika loves to remind us that her name is THE NAME because the British pronunciation of moniker is the same as the pronunciation of her name!
I cannot count the number of times her name has come up in class. If I tried and gave a point for every time it happened, she would be getting one crore points (ten million, for the American and British audience in the class). Hyperbole, of course.😁
As I've already mentioned, Five Stars is always active in class and all of them are motivating, hardworking, collaborative and creative. So, in a group where everyone takes responsibility, it is indeed difficult to shine and Monika is the one who pushes them (literally as well as metaphorically) into action!
She speaks truth to power which is a trait I keep praising in class. It is a trait that everyone should have. She is eager to learn more all the time, and she Googles and reads with a ready eagerness that would delight any teacher.
Her eagerness is what’s immediately noticeable. But behind that eagerness is a steely determination, revealed only in the tons of homework I give them. After she completes her homework, instead of rewarding her, I give her more homework! And she does it eagerly. She keeps trying to be better every single day which is possibly why, when giving an example of grit, I have said in your class and other classes as well that Monika would become the first Indian female CEO of a Fortune 500 company!
Instead of looking at an imposing goal like that, if everyone like Monika, were to focus only on the next step to be done, they would undoubtedly rise to great heights!
Wishing her all the happiness, growth, and greatness she so deeply deserves,
I am,
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Veda
Live long and Prosper!✨🤗
