“Be yourself! Everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
At the start of the semester, Anesh G J was a man of few words. But with each class, he began to take responsibility in a way that was both admirable and contagious. No longer just a quiet student, he became a quiet force in the class, constantly following up on assignments and ensuring he didn’t just understand the tasks I had given, but that everyone else understood them too. He would ask questions from the perspective of disinterested learners, always ensuring that no one was left behind.
Anesh is not one to give advice and leave it at that. No, he goes beyond expectations. He captures screenshots, records videos, and even searches YouTube for additional material to help his classmates. And he does all of this without a thought for applause or recognition. Even while I have taken him for granted, he never got discouraged. Always curious, he would text me the latest discoveries he had made on his exploration (he has found a friend in Google!) and suggest new topics for class. Once, when I told him I was busy, he immediately stepped up, created Google Forms, managed Google Sheets, and updated me constantly. All this leadership did not alter his behavior in the slightest. He did not act like a leader or a person with ‘power,’ as I mentioned earlier, he continues to be a quiet person, even though he is now a quiet force in the class!
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier.
On behalf of the class, I salute Anesh’s constant dedication and consistent effort!👏🤗✨
