Volunteer Opportunities

Are you handy? Have some extra time? Is your scout troop looking for a community project? Below is a list of current needs.

Join a committee: pier maintenance, hospitality, traffic safety, annual Halloween party are established committees that welcome new volunteers.
Two new committees beginning in 2023 include (a) neighborhood beautification committee and (b) special community benefits district committee.
General pier maintenance - ongoing
Build planter boxes / flower beds for soil and plants to beautify the small area around the message board at pier.
Landscaping of the small area above flower beds.
Refurnish the existing bench - can be done at any time.
Remove/sand off some graffiti on the pier pilings and blank boards - can be done at any time.
Re stain the pier - during cooler weather in the fall.
Lend a kayak - if you're participating in our summer kayaking events on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, and you have an extra kayak that other neighbors could borrow, please let us know.
