“The future of intelligent products lie at the intersection of spatial insights, AI capabilities and human understanding where geography show patterns, AI surfaces possibilities and UX research grounds those possibilities into evolving user-centric experiences.
Together, they turn complex data into sustainable strategic decisions.”
Cyhana Williams' work has driven impact across geospatial innovation and AI technology products by turning spatial data and user insights into strategic solutions. At Microsoft, she led research projects that helped to optimize Generative AI output responses (text and visual) by co-introducing a governance method for Model Output Human Evaluations. This method helped to improve AI output by more than 50%.
Also, her geospatial analysis in the Route-to-Market project at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa - Voltic Ghana optimized distribution across 80,000+ customer locations, reducing operational costs by about 50% while improving service territory planning and resource allocation.
At Henson Geodata Technologies (HGT), she coordinated both software and data teams as well as a farmer-centered research for the project development of IGEZA (MyAgro360). Igeza is an agricultural intelligence system which earned international recognition and won the $50,000 Frontier Innovation Award (FAW Tech Prize) for its role in helping farmers detect crop pests and access timely support.
Beyond technical impact, Cyhana co-founded African Women in GIS. A growing network across 30+ countries with 1000+ members that provides mentorship, training and opportunities for African women in the geospatial field.
Together, her work advances geo-business strategy, technology program management and advocates for inclusion in the global geospatial and tech community.
