The Cycle-Rail Forum for the North exists to promote Best Practice in the integration of cycling and rail travel in the North of England.
Northern Railway operates local services in the North of England, from as far south as Nottingham to Newcastle and Carlisle, including routes through many of the North's National Parks.
Trans-Pennine Express operates intercity train services linking key cities and major towns in the North and Scotland.
Other operators in the area include LNER, Grand Central, Hull Trains, Merseyrail, Cross-Country East Midlands Trains and of course many heritage lines.
