In this section you will find data visualization based on statistics on data breaches, and the most common types of security breaches. Visual data gathered from this information originates from Washington (2024-2026) and California (2026), respectively. First, I will introduce you to the idea of data visualization, and how it betters our world. Second, I will introduce you to the source material (data) used to produce the visuals. Then together we will look through the visual data computed from the sources.
Data visualization is the process of showing data in visual forms such as charts, graphs, maps, or dashboards. It helps people understand information more easily by making patterns, trends, and comparisons easier to see.
Visual Data aided our research by making the important information easier to absorb. Charts, graphs, tables and plots are used to show trends, patterns, and the risks of our data in a clear manner. In our case, to better comprehend cyber threats, data breaches and privacy issues. This will support those who are curious about CyberPrivacy, while also introducing the readers to a new way to digest data.
R code and RStudio were used to produce code to showcase the data in order to understand the statistics and trends behind our data.
