PROJECT DETAILS:
With the Tax on X Space, we faced a matter of great importance: how to engage young people in a discourse on tax policy, a subject often seen as distant and impenetrable. Our challenge was not merely to inform but to inspire participation and foster a greater sense of shared purpose in the fiscal health of our nation.
To address this, we conceived and executed "Tax on X Space," a pioneering digital forum that leveraged the unique nature of an online platform to create a real-time, public dialogue. This was not a lecture but a conversation, carefully structured by a series of thought-provoking prompts that encouraged honest and informed debate on critical issues.
Our collaboration with The Tax Club, UNILAG, was a testament to the power of partnership. It allowed us to amplify our reach and ensure that the voices of the next generation were heard. We saw strong participation, a clear indication that when given the opportunity, people are eager to engage with the complex issues that shape their lives.
The success of this endeavor reinforced my conviction that digital platforms can be used not just for communication but for the very purpose of civic engagement. By making these discussions accessible, we took a step toward building a more transparent and equitable system, and in doing so, we served the greater good. This work is, at its heart, about empowering the people to understand and contribute to the future of our society.
