This class takes a more global view of history, though much of this class does focus more on Western Civilization or European history over Asian or African history. It covers the first emerging civilizations in the Mesopotamia and follows the development of numerous civilizations and empires such as the Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. Then it delves into the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Enlightenment, democratic revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, WWI, WWII, the Cold War, and finishes with more modern history such as tensions in the Middle East and the Russian-Ukrainian War.
